FQHCs are federally-funded health centers that serve all patients regardless of insurance or immigration status, on a sliding fee scale. Many FQHCs employ bilingual staff and provide culturally-competent care for Latino communities — including primary care, women's health, behavioral health, and pharmacy services.
For Latina patients without insurance, FQHCs offer a confidential, sliding-fee path to medical care. HRSA-funded FQHCs cannot deny services based on immigration status. Many provide Spanish-language services, bilingual case management, and community health worker programs.
